Three new stores for the Makaregatorna district of Gothenburg
Published 5/26/2025In the fall, three new stores will open in Gothenburg's wonderfully vibrant Makaregatorna district. Skultuna, Gothia Antik and 60 Garner Nord, which recently signed leases with Wallenstam will establish in the district in the fall. Meanwhile, both Knapp-Carlsson and Buttericks have new owners, which have both extended their leases.
Skultuna is establishing in the Makaregatorna district and will move into new larger premises at Korsgatan 14 in October. The current store in Victoriapassagen will remain open until January 15 next year.
"We are expanding and need more retail space in Gothenburg, which feels very positive. Now we are very much looking forward to opening on Korsgatan in the fall," says Ofelia Klerk Kurpátow, Store Development Manager at Skultuna.
Gothia Antik, which for a long time was located on Linnégatan in Gothenburg, will open its new store in October at Korsgatan 2. Aside from the sale of fine antiques, the store will also carry out repairs of lamps etc.
"I am really looking forward to moving to Makaregatorna and am absolutely thrilled about the development of the area. The district is so nice with lots of fantastic businesses and the premises have a good location and large, beautiful windows. An overall concept, which I hope will attract more antique lovers to the store," says Elisabeth Hoem, owner of Gothia Antik.
60 Garner Nord's popular store in the old spinning factory Spinneriet in Lindome is moving to Korsgatan 11.
"60 Garner Nord stands for slow fashion, a store where designers, spinners and sheep farmers have an opportunity to showcase their passionate craftsmanship of the highest quality. We are very much looking forward to offering a wide range of yarns and accessories for all knitting enthusiasts in a new central and wonderful location for us," says Anna Leithe, who owns and runs 60 Garner Nord.
