Events during the second quarter, 2026

Published 7/1/2026

Recently, Wallenstam signed an agreement with Locus Energy to sell all of its wind farms. Moreover, Wallenstam has acquired a property on Kungsholmen in Stockholm and sold a property in Solna to a housing cooperative. During the quarter, Wallenstam also started the construction of 355 apartments in two projects in Gothenburg and completed and let 50 apartments in Nacka. In total, 1,277 apartments are currently under construction.

On June 1, Sweden's Minister for Infrastructure and Housing Andreas Carlson and CEO Hans Wallenstam jointly broke ground for 190 apartments at Carlandersplatsen in central Gothenburg. Another project in Gothenburg, Kvarter 2 in Kallebäcks Terrasser comprising 165 apartments, was also started during the quarter.

In addition, 50 apartments have been completed and let in Älta Torg, Kvarter 2 in Nacka. In the project, which is now fully completed and let, Wallenstam has also constructed a cultural centre and library, with Nacka Municipality as tenant. Altogether, Wallenstam now has 1,277 apartments under construction.

On June 1, Wallenstam sold the property Solna Smaragden 1 to a housing cooperative formed by the tenants. The purchase price amounted to SEK 122 million. During the quarter, Wallenstam also acquired the property Gjuteriet 2 on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. The acquisition was made through a company transaction at an agreed property value of SEK 260 million.

In a press release on June 10, it was announced that Wallenstam and Locus Energy had signed an agreement for the sale of all of Wallenstam's wind farms. The sale is being carried out through a company transaction, where the wind turbines have a value of SEK 830 million. The buyer Locus Energy will take over the company once the Swedish Inspectorate of Strategic Products (ISP) has given its approval for the transaction. In connection with the sale, Wallenstam is securing renewable electricity for its properties through an agreement with Locus Energy for the supply of renewable energy.

During the quarter, Wallenstam also took possession of land in the Stora Sköndal urban development area, adjacent to Lake Drevviken in southern Stockholm. The transaction was announced in a press release on March 10, 2025.
