Events during the first quarter, 2025

During the quarter, Wallenstam took possession of the Sergel's scraper in central Stockholm, and vacated four commercial properties in Gothenburg and also acquired land in Stora Sköndal in Stockholm and sold land in Tyresö. Wallenstam also completed and let almost 350 apartments in Nacka, Stockholm and Gothenburg, and started two projects involving a total of 216 apartments in Gothenburg.

The acquisition of the Sergel's scraper, which comprises just over 16,000 sq m distributed over 21 floors, was announced in a press release on October 10, 2024. Wallenstam took possession of the property on January 31, 2025. The four commercial properties in Gårda and Högsbo in Gothenburg were vacated on February 3, 2025. The transaction was announced in a press release on December 12. 

During the quarter, Wallenstam also acquired land in Stora Sköndal near Drevviken in southern Stockholm, which was announced in a press release on March 10, 2025. Stora Sköndal is an attractive area with a good location close to both the city and nature. Here, Wallenstam is planning to build more than 1,000 apartments and to play an important part in creating a new, vibrant district with sustainability and a pleasant neighborhood in focus.

On March 5, Wallenstam sold, and vacated, land though company transactions for an agreed property value of SEK 30 million. The property transactions include the properties Tyresö Kringlan 1, 2, 4, 11 and 12 as well as Tyresö Strand 1:18.

On February 18, Hans Wallenstam, CEO of Wallenstam AB, together with Johannes Hulter, Chairman of the City Planning Committee in the City of Gothenburg, held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Kvarter 1, Stråket project in Kallebäcks Terrasser. The project comprises 177 apartments with expected occupation during 2027.

In addition to this, Wallenstam has started the new construction and reconstruction project Sten Stures kröningar, Riddaren, in central Gothenburg, where four floors are being built at an existing property. The project involves a complete renovation of the entire property with 57 existing apartments, and 39 new apartments are being added.

During the quarter, Wallenstam completed and let 343 apartments in the following projects:

  • 66 apartments in Nacka Grace in Nacka. The project involving a total of 169 apartments is now fully completed and fully occupied.
  • 106 apartments in Älta Torg Kv.1 in Nacka. The project involves a total of 191 apartments.
  • 12 apartments in Ädellövet in Stockholm. The project involves a total of 172 apartments.
  • 159 apartments in Kallebäcks Terrasser Kv. 6 in Gothenburg. The project involves a total of 298 apartments.

All in all, Wallenstam now has 1,177 apartments under construction.
