Construction start for new apartments on Åbybergsgatan in Mölndal

Today, 119 apartments very close to Mölndal Galleria shopping center were officially started when the Chairman of Mölndal's Municipal Executive Board, Stefan Gustafsson, together with Hans Wallenstam, inaugurated the construction of the project. The apartments will be let through Wallenstam's own housing queue and are expected to be completed and ready for occupation in early 2027.

"It feels very positive and nice to provide more new homes right in the center of Mölndal. Åbybergsgatan has a fantastic location close to both the pulse of the city and the tranquility of nature. Here, we will now add a new residential block, which through its look will connect nicely with the other center buildings in Mölndal," says Hans Wallenstam, CEO of Wallenstam.

"This construction start will be a further step in our plan to strengthen the inner city with one of western Sweden's most stable companies in the housing market," says Stefan Gustafsson, Chairman of the Municipal Executive Board in Mölndal.

The apartments in the block will range in size from studio to four bedroom units. In addition, there will also be 300 square meters of commercial floor space on the ground floor.

The architect for Wallenstam's new construction project on Åbybergsgatan is CREAM Arkitekter and the construction work will be carried out by Hedin Construction.
