`Excellent' rating attracts greentech companies

Published 5/30/2023

This fall, the fast-growing greentech company Ferroamp will move to a newly renovated, specially adapted office with energy lab and creative meeting areas in Umami Park. In total, 37,000 square meters of office space opposite the municipal building in Sundbyberg has been renovated into ultra modern space, which has been environmentally certified with an `Excellent' rating.

"We are in an expansive phase and look forward to bringing together our employees in new environmentally-certified premises with room to grow, with a property owner and partner which is at the forefront of the green transition," says Kent Jonsson, CEO of Ferroamp.

Ferroamp offers solutions for power and energy optimization in a smart system that connects solar cells, batteries and electric vehicle charging, allowing control of both electricity usage and electricity costs. The premises that the company are moving to are located right in the heart of the new area and are environmentally certified according to the international BREEAM In-Use system with the rating `Excellent'.

"It will be very nice to welcome Ferroamp to Umami Park in the fall. This establishment demonstrates the area's attractiveness and a clear focus on energy and sustainability issues in our properties," says Mathias Aronsson Vice CEO of Wallenstam and Regional Director for Stockholm/Uppsala.

Fully developed, Umami Park is expected to comprise approximately 800 apartments and attractive new space for offices, restaurants, shops and services. BABAS Burger recently opened here and both Stella Pizza and Iveel Sushi will open in the fall.
