New stores for the Victoria block and Kungsgatan

Published 9/9/2021

Akademibokhandeln, Hestra and Scotch & Soda will soon open new stores in the middle of central Gothenburg. Inspiring store concepts together with a desire for a good location and greater visibility are a common denominator for Wallenstam's new tenants.

In early November, Akademibokhandeln will open the doors to a new store at Kungsgatan 44.

"It is gratifying that we are once again opening a store on Kungsgatan. It is a district where major positive changes are currently being made and where we want to be involved and spread the joy of reading. We will test new concepts and ideas in order to create as good a customer offer as possible in central Gothenburg. We want to try to connect the physical store with our digital offer," says Johan Junehed, Sales Manager Akademibokhandeln.

Both Hestra and Scotch & Soda are opening their new stores on Södra Larmgatan in the popular Victoria block. Scotch & Soda have chosen to increase their retail space and will move to a larger store that will open in November.

"We are very satisfied with this store location and look forward to inviting existing and new customers to us, especially as it will be the first store in the Nordics where we are given the opportunity to present our brand new store concept and that we will be able to present all our fantastic collections for men, women and children," says Tony Wester, Managing Director, Scotch & Soda Norden.

Hestra's new concept store will open in early October, while they are also investing in opening in Copenhagen.

"Opening physical stores and investing in cities such as Copenhagen and Gothenburg feels both fun and exciting. We are launching an inspiring store concept that highlights our historical heritage together with our modern products. We believe that a greater visibility in these cities will strengthen our position as a glove company but will also give a major boost to our resellers," states Hestra's CEO, Anton Magnusson.

"It is really nice to be able to add popular businesses featuring exciting concepts to both the Victoria block and Kungsgatan. With these excellent lets we are welcoming Hestra and Scotch & Soda as new tenants and we also get the privilege to once again have Akademibokhandeln as a tenant," says Anders Forsling, Chief Account Manager; Commercial at Wallenstam in Gothenburg.
