Completed transactions, occupations and construction starts during the first quarter, 2022
Published 3/31/2022During the quarter, Wallenstam has completed just over 350 rental apartments and now has 1,609 apartments under construction. A commercial property in central Gothenburg was taken into possession and a total of eight residential properties in Stockholm, Sundbyberg and Tyresö were vacated.
During the quarter, Wallenstam completed 354 rental apartments in the following projects:
- 50 apartments in Umami Park, phase 3, Sundbyberg. The project involving a total of 133 apartments is now fully completed.
- 36 apartments in Flanören, Rosendal in Uppsala. The project involves a total of 156 apartments, of which 84 are now occupied.
- 62 apartments in Kv. Kvarnen in Mölnlycke Fabriker, Härryda. The project involving a total of 185 apartments is now fully completed.
- 116 apartments in Kv. Väven in Mölnlycke Fabriker, Härryda. The project is now fully completed.
- 90 apartments in Kallebäcks Terrasser Kv. 11, Gothenburg. The project involves a total of 270 apartments, of which 167 are now occupied.
During the quarter, Wallenstam started the construction of a nursery school in the urban development project Kallebäcks Terrasser. In addition to this, construction started of 15 rental apartments in two reconstruction projects where commercial premises are being converted into apartments. All in all, Wallenstam now has 1,609 apartments under construction,
On February 1, 2022, a commercial property was taken into possession in central Gothenburg. Wallenstam acquired the property from Handelsbanken Fastigheter AB for an agreed property value of about SEK 1.1 billion. Wallenstam has also vacated a number of properties. On January 31, 2022, six residential properties were vacated in Sundbyberg and Gröndal in Stockholm, which were sold at an agreed property value of about SEK 1.2 billion, and on February 1, 2022, two residential properties were vacated in Tyresö, which were sold at an agreed property value of just over SEK 1 billion. All three transactions were announced in press releases at the end of 2021.
During the quarter, Wallenstam also acquired additional shares in the coworking company Convendum, where the participating interest now amounts to about 37 percent of the total number of shares.
